**Essential and Guardian can be used anywhere in the world. The platform is set up for Australian food safety rules, and every checklist can be changed to suit the rules where you trade.
Hospitality Shield supplies records, guidance and, where available, scheduled support at your venue. It does not promise or guarantee regulatory compliance, which remains a matter for you and your enforcement agency. An HCSO is our representative, not a government officer and not your Food Safety Supervisor: where Standard 3.2.2A requires the business to appoint a certified Food Safety Supervisor who is reasonably available to it, that appointment stays yours to make and keep current. Nothing you buy from us discharges it.
Trial, billing and the officer
How does the free trial work?
The trial is for Essential. Create an account, then start it from Billing by adding a card. It runs for 30 days and nothing is charged during it. When it ends, Essential continues on the monthly or yearly term you selected, and we email you a week before the first payment. There is one trial per account.
Do I need a card to start the trial?
Yes. The trial starts when you save a card from your Billing page. During the trial the account has 10 team member accounts and 10 GB of storage, API access opens after the first payment, and the card is not charged until the trial ends.
What does Essential cost after the trial?
A$295 a month, or less on the yearly term. As an introductory offer, your first three months are A$185 a month.
What does the officer do?
An HCSO is a Hospitality Shield representative who supports venues with food safety monitoring, compliance records, staff guidance and operational readiness. On Guardian they review your records each week by default, online, or on site in Perth.
Where are on site visits available?
In the Perth metropolitan area. Online review is available to Guardian venues anywhere.
Can our records be kept here instead of on paper?
Yes. No form of record is prescribed, so records kept here can be opened on screen or printed for the dates an officer names.
Can I get my records out?
Yes. Reports prints or saves your records for the dates you choose, and your Account page downloads your account's data.
