The library and the register
Our videos and yours
Our videos, on every venue's list
A starting library covering handling, hygiene, allergens, temperatures and cleaning.
Or your own, uploaded
Upload a video file from your own training, or point at one on YouTube.
You choose what your team sees
Take any of ours off your list. What is left is what your staff are asked to watch.
Your own titles on ours
Give any of our videos your own title and description. Your team sees yours; nobody else's changes.
Quizzes and Must watch
Quizzes you write
Add multiple choice questions to any video, ours or your own.
Passed before the next video
Staff reach your pass mark to move on, and see which questions they got wrong. With no quiz, they confirm they watched it.
Watched all the way through
Mark a video Must watch and it plays start to finish with no skipping ahead.
The register
Each person signs in
Staff open their own login to the training your venue expects of them, one video at a time.
Watched is recorded, per person
Finishing a video is logged against that staff member at the moment they finish it.
A register you can hand over
Who watched what and when, printed with the rest of your record pack.
See a renewal coming
Certificates you keep in your records show their expiry dates on your dashboard as they approach.

Topics in our library
- Food handler essentialsThe four topics a food safety training course must cover, for handlers before they first carry out a prescribed activity.
- Temperature control and the two hour and four hour ruleReceiving, storing, cooking, cooling, reheating, display and transport. Temperatures the records are judged against.
- AllergensHow to answer a customer's allergen question correctly, using the names the Code sets out.
- Cleaning and sanitisingThe difference between clean and sanitised, and how to show a surface was sanitised when required.
- Health and hygieneHandwashing, when a handler must not work with food and what to do when somebody reports symptoms.
Food handlers
- Before they first handle food in a prescribed activity, each food handler must have completed a food safety training course, or have skills and knowledge that match the work they do.
- A course must cover safe handling, contamination, cleaning and sanitising, and personal hygiene.
Food safety supervisor
- A category one or two business appoints a certified food safety supervisor before it carries out a prescribed activity, and they must be reasonably available to advise and supervise while it does.
- The supervisor certificate you keep for them comes from a registered training organisation and must have been issued within the last five years.

Qualifications, registers and supervisors
Do my staff need a formal qualification to handle food?
No. Skills and knowledge that match the work they do are enough, and a business may assess its own staff.
Do I have to keep a training register?
Not in most venues. It is recommended, and it is required where Standard 3.3.1 applies, such as hospitals, aged care and childcare. The register here is kept as your team watches.
Does watching these videos make someone a food safety supervisor?
No. A food safety supervisor is appointed by the business, and the certificate you hold for them comes from a registered training organisation and is dated within the last five years. These videos do not lead to it.
